New release Nero Ossidiana 2017, IGT Terre Siciliane
03 March 2021
After the great succes of our Nero Ossidiana 2016, awarded as one of the 12 best Italian wines in the Top 100 Wine Discoveries by Ropert Parker Wine Advocate, we are finally about to release with the 2017 vintage.

Nero Ossidiana has always been a source of pride for Tenuta di Castellaro, both in Italy both on the international market. Nero Ossidiana is the result of a rediscovery of a lost variety such as Corinto Nero, an authentic tradition of the Eolian archipelago. It is a variety with unique characteristics which expresses its great potential thanks to the volcanic soil and the microclimate of Lipari island.

The production is limited and bottling has taken place without any filtration, just static decanting and few rackings, in order to maintain all the characteristic of the wine.

The 2017 vintage, produced in only 6763 bottles, has one again given us a great wine, which excites immediately but able to give great experiences in a few years.
