We have left the 2023 season behind us and, with great satisfaction, once again closed the year with a record number of visitors to the winery.
It was wonderful to welcome new curious guests, loyal enthusiasts, and wine lovers from so many countries around the world, as well as to see a growing number of Italian visitors. In 2023, we once again hosted guests from more than twenty-five countries, with a particularly strong presence from the United States, a country that has come to love Sicily and now consistently considers it a top choice among European destinations for a magnificent vacation, as well as from Switzerland, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. As always, we also welcomed visitors from Australia, so far away yet so close at the same time, thanks to the large community of Lipari and Aeolian emigrants who settled there but still keep a special place in their hearts for their homeland (or rather, their island!).
We are confident that those of you who have visited us at the estate over the years will be our best ambassadors around the world. The winemaking and landscape project of Tenuta di Castellaro also relies on your word of mouth! Lipari, together with the other islands of the archipelago, is now a highly regarded destination not only for its breathtaking landscapes and the beautiful Aeolian Sea, but also for its food and wine culture, increasingly recognized at an international level.
Without wasting any time, we are already ready with the plans for 2024, during which we intend to offer new and exciting experiences at the estate. In particular, we are preparing new tasting formats, designed both for those who wish to approach the Aeolian terroir and our wines for the first time, and for those who, over time, have already become familiar with most of our products and would like to taste them in a more technical and in-depth way. We will keep you updated and share much more with you in the coming months!
