The first, great, classic red wine of the Aeolian Islands

Nero Ossidiana is a red wine that testifies to our desire to enhance the indigenous vineyards and the great organoleptic properties of the terroir of the Aeolian Islands, which perfectly balances the beautiful acidity and elegance of the Corinto Nero with the soft warmth of Nero d'Avola.

We are proud to have made the first, great, classic red wine of the Aeolian Islands.

Complex, structured: intriguing

It comes from the pressing of whole and destemmed grapes and from a long maceration with the skins and whole bunches; it is vinified without temperature control, it is not clarified except by decantation and various rackings.

The colour of the wine is deep ruby red, it is complex and structured and presents itself to the palate with juicy shades of red fruit, intriguing aromas of spices and musk on the nose. His iodate notes firmly claim the peculiar marine influence on a land already rich in microelements.

Nero Ossidiana expresses all the typicality of a land that is both volcanic and marine, representing the union between the island and the sea.

Reviews / Nero Ossidiana

This is a delightful wine thet shows the glossy intensity and shine of a Burgundian grape, despite its origins in one of the warmest and most extreme islands in the sun-soaked heart of the Mediterranean Sea. I think this wine is just terrific.

Monica Larner WINE ADVOCATE October 2019
Reviews / Nero Ossidiana

Bright and focused, with a lively, juicy mouthfeel on the long vibrant finish. A lovely wine, with lots of flavor and only 13.5% alcohol.

Reviews / Nero Ossidiana

“It has a very rich olfactory tone, with hints of black mulberry and caper.

To the taste it has juice and is very deep”.

SLOW WINE October 2015
Reviews / Nero Ossidiana

Olfactory panorama of ample and unique proportions that opens, against the background of magmatic mineral, with small bramble fruit, blood orange, Mediterranean scrub with herbs and wild berries, shades of Sichuan pepper and brackish fumes.

BIBENDA October 2018
Reviews / Nero Ossidiana

Rouge pourpre aux nuances vio-lettes; parfum de cerise et d’épices, de garrigue et de tabac; texture généreuse avec des tanins fins et une vive acidité, élégant et raffiné jusqu’en finale.
