There is a new project keeping us busy here in Lipari.
It is a twofold initiative involving both the planting of a new alberello-trained vineyard with a density of 1.20 x 1.20 meters, located directly in front of the winery entrance, where we have mainly planted red grape varieties — in particular Corinto and Pinot Noir — and the creation of sixteen spaces among the vines, which will be transformed into west-facing stations, and therefore oriented toward the sunset.
The entire vineyard is laid out like a natural amphitheater overlooking the Aeolian Sea and the islands of Alicudi, Filicudi, and Salina. Something magnificent in itself, which we have decided to further enhance in order to offer a truly immersive experience within the Tenuta di Castellaro setting.
The idea is to host up to four people at each of these stations, where guests will be able to fully enjoy, from a privileged viewpoint, the daily spectacle of the sunset, accompanied by our wines and a basket featuring delicious food pairings. It is a truly emotional experience that we hope to make available as soon as possible.
In addition, just a few steps from the winery’s main entrance, there will be space for approximately 100 additional seats, intended for meetings and events, both food-and-wine related and cultural, thanks to collaborations with several local organizations.
We hope to welcome you to the estate and to share with you this new open-air spectacle of sky and sea!
