Tenuta di Castellaro is the result of a sailing trip into the heart of the Aeolian Islands followed by an unforgettable walk on the uplands of Castellaro, on the island of Lipari, at sunrise.
This experience, a sublimation of the essential, persuaded Massimo Lentsch – an entrepreneur from Bergamo – together with his wife Stefania Frattolillo, to begin producing wine, inspired by their love and passion for a magical land to which they wished to pay tribute.
Aeolian Island tourism offers a series of natural attractions to enjoy, experience and explore like a modern flaneur with a scientific spirit and poetic sensibility. We invite you to discover a volcanic land rich in white pumice stone, pink china clay and black obsidian, moulded by the fire and dominated by the wind, which combines the roughness of the steep slopes with the smoothness of the sea. A land of intense hues, with no half measures, which nourishes every grape of our varietals and inspires every bottle we produce.
Tenuta di Castellaro pays homage to the beauty of the Aeolian Islands through a project that rediscovers traditional viticulture, the production of natural wines and the recent agronomic project to recover the native natural landscape.
